[SOLVED]GRUB Wont Load

Hello everyone. Its been a while since i've installed arch due to lack of internet in the middle of no where. I have used arch successfully for years prior. I'm currently trying to install it again since i now have the internet. For some reason tho i cant seem to get the Computer to notice a boot device. I can install ubuntu and mint linux no issue. I have tried to use 2008.06 isos of the core 32bit 64bit and 32bit ftp. After installation and proper following of the beginners guide, the computer give me this message. "No  bootable device". I have installed grub onto sda. I havent tried lilo tho.. dont really like lilo compared to grub. Ive also tried to reinstall grub using the chmod method in the wiki. that did not help. I even tried to use the more options on the cds and typed in to boot to dev/sda1 which didnt work. but i can boot a live cd of arch and mount all my file systems and see everything is there. This makes me think that grub is not installing properly for me. I'm using an intel 975xbx motherboard. Not using raid. Im clueless. Im going to try and download the oldest image i can since i never had this problem in the past with identical setup.

Re: [SOLVED]GRUB Wont Load

Did you flag your "/boot" partition as bootable? I haven't had to do this for other systems, but I must do this for my desktop o_O. If you don't have a /boot partition tag / as bootable. Without doing this, I also got the same error as you.

Also an older installation may or may not work, because there have been a lot of changes made to pacman, repos, and what not.
