BIOS upgrade [DONE]

I'm considering upgrading the bios in my dell laptop from A13 to A17 and have some questions.

1. Can this mess up my system?

2. Where can I find a changelog? I can only find changlog for A17.

1. yes.  be prepared to roll back to the old bios.  i.e.: make upgrade media for both versions.
2. you probably have to get each successive update and look in there, although that depends entirely on the manufacturer and how they package/distribute updates.

btw, have you seen 'dellBiosUpdate,' provided by the libsmbios package?  it has a --test flag.

Found other versions.

I missed where it said "other versions" next to the version of this one.
A14 is marked as critical.
