nm-applet & XFCE

I am having a problem with nm-applet (NetworkManager) and XFCE.

I have followed the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Networkmanager), but regardless I cannot get NetworkManager to show when I login, yet when I do ps -A, nm-applet is running.

Edit: It seems that xfapplet is displayed on the screen, along with nm-applet. So it IS showing. It's just so small that it's barely visible. A screenshot of what I mean can be found here.

Edit: I guess I'll use wicd.. it's lighter anyways.

Any ideas?

nm-applet runs in notification area, not as an applet, so you don't need to use xfapplet

According to the wiki (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Networkmanager#Xfce) it requires xfapplet. That might need updating if that is this case. Anywho, it does not work either way.

Re: nm-applet & XFCE

I'm pretty sure I'm right because it also runs fine in the lxpanel notification area
What do you get if you kill nm-applet, then run it again from the terminal?

Also, which version are you running? 0.6.5 or the one from testing?
