Hi all,
time for my first post (apart the one in the "The Official Hello Everyone Thread" )
My problem is simple: i can't run RapidSvn, executing it from CLI reports me this:
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$ rapidsvn
rapidsvn: error while loading shared libraries: libhx509.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$
While reading on various topics in the forum, i noticed that other people reported errors regarding 'libhx509.so.3', it should be a library shipped with the heimdal package. Here are my versions of heimdal and rapidsvn packages:
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$ pacman -Qi heimdal
Nome : heimdal
Versione : 1.2.1-3
....
and
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$ pacman -Qi rapidsvn
Nome : rapidsvn
Versione : 0.9.6-3
....
There is also this:
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$ ldd /usr/bin/rapidsvn | grep libhx
libhx509.so.3 => not found
libhx509.so.4 => /usr/lib/libhx509.so.4 (0xb6d72000)
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$
Ok, what could be the problem? Is rapidsvn compiled against an old version of heimdal?
My system is fully upgrade, by the way, I've just done a "pacman -Syu".
Thanks a lot,
Paolo
P.S. I found that the ArchLinux community is simply wonderful. You're doing a great, great job guys. Thanks very much

Make sure your system is fully up-to-date and then file a bug report about this issue.

Your logic is correct. It's built against an older version.

Hi all,
tomorrow i've issued a "pacman -Syu" command, and while upgrading package "rapidsvn 0.9.6-4" was installed.
Now all is working like a charm
[paoloyx@gaussarch ~]$ pacman -Qi rapidsvn
Nome : rapidsvn
Versione : 0.9.6-4
...
Thanks for your help!
Paolo
