udev

After changing from devfs to udev both the swap and the boot=ext2 partion failed. Message: filesystem check failed. It's a scsi-system.

fsck.ext2: no such file while trying to open /dev/discs/disc0/part1 (which is the boot-partition)

Any advice for me?

Re: udev

im just a newbie, hope this helps :

i think its due to the devfs devices naming - try using /dev/hda1 (or hde1/sda1 etc, depending on your system) in /etc/fstab. maybe u will need to change in other places too, but i wouldnt know... i hope this gives u some info till a pro replies wink
