DVD9 to DVD5

Hi!
I have some video DVDs that i appreciate so much I that want to make a backup of each of them roll for not loosing all that legaly purchased material..
I am looking for an application that can do this stuff.... and convert a 9Gb video DVD into a 5Gb one.

should get you started. Personally I've always used k9copy to great effect.

k9copy should do the job. You can open dvd/iso/folder (i think) and convert to video or dvd5-iso (by reducing quality trough reencoding or you can de-select chapters).
