VLC and XINE problem

Earlier I was using VLC to play videos and it ran pretty fine while xine used to play videos very slow. Now jJust 3 days ago I did a pacman -Syu and situation is just reversd. Now videos are played fine in xine while really slow in VLC fulscreen (small screen plays fine) . I don't understand the reason when I did not even touch xorg.conf.
