kernelXXmm

I've tried the mm version of the kernel, and I think it works pretty great! everything seems to be faster with it! just one problem, something goes wrong when I try to reboot! shutdown works as it should, just not reboot! it says some error in the shutdown script.

anyone else who runs the mm kernel and have/had this problem? I have no idea to fix it....

Re: kernelXXmm

I have had that same problem.  It came along sometime in the 2.6.8.1 series, as I never had a problem with 2.6.7.  Right now I am using the 2.6.9rc4nitro that someone was kind enough to make a pkgbuild for and it  reboots nicely.

The 2.6.8.1 would shutdown ok, but it would not reboot for me.  There was another thread about this and I seem to remember it was acpi or apic related.  Maybe you need to pass something at boot in lilo.
