[Solved] How to sugest a change to a PKGBUILD?

It goes like this, I have detected that one of the maintained packages may work better for everyone "out of the box" if the PKGBUILD is slightly changed.
The package in question is medit, one of the configure options is "--with-fam", if using medit+fam things work fine but if using medit+gamin then medit will not monitor file changes properly. If medit is compiled _without_ the "--with-fam" option it will still monitor file changes properly either with fam or gamin (and this is clearly stated in the readme by the medit developers).
Should I file a bug or is there a better way to suggest this change?

You should file a bug report. There's a better chance that the right dev will see it then.

And please post the link to the bug report back here. I'm noticing problems with pcmanfm not updating sometimes, and it may be related to the new gamin.

Bug reported, I'm not sure if I did it correctly or not but I have reported the problem tongue
Here's the link http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/12945
I'm also marking this as solved, my doubt has been answered smile

I haven't noticed that with Thunar, I have noticed however that copying a file and watching the size grow will make the copy a lot slower (maybe it's not a bug, maybe it's just the way things work).
