i'm not sure but i think OO 1.1.3 will not compile with gcc 3.4
you will need ximian tool to build it or download all needed components by your own

Re: can openoffice build with native gtk2 interface?

Well, over here pacman is currently downloading OOo 1.1.3 from the testing repository. So although I haven't looked at the PKGBUILD I guess it's not that complicated to compile. It's split up in openoffice-base and openoffice-en. Hm, when I think of it, I suspect that those were already available when I installed openoffice-1.1.2 yesterday. I think that if I had done a -Syu right after I pacmaned openoffice, pacman would have replaced the brand new install of the openoffice package with openoffice-base and openoffice-en - quite some bandwidth wasted there!

Re: can openoffice build with native gtk2 interface?

well i can tell you that these packages are definitly no source builds
because i'm the maintainer wink
i get it to split up into more packages that more arch users are happy with that

openoffice building is not very funny it needs really long
and at the moment it only works with ximians building tool

bye tpowa
