Wiki/Forum URL paste problem

The wiki page here evidences a slight problem...

Go there, and try to paste the URL into a forum post. The URL is chopped at the special chars, and it does not work.  The only way to get it to work is to use it in a hyperlink.

Solutions:
1.) Make forum allow pastes with special characters, both pasting and posting (can it be done?)
2.) Ban special characters on the Wiki
3.) Make forum peform correct linking when a URL includes special characters
4.) Probably others

I ran into the same problem with the same page yesterday.  My solution was #3 provided by Procyon.  This is a PunBB problem so not much we can do until we upgrade/switch the forum software.
