Mmm I failed to install it and gave up, and as things change, I just want to check if there's any development. If yes, I would try again.
So it's still the same, one guide pointing to another guide, and vice versa. I'll just stick with xandros for the moment.

I am typing from my eee pc 701 4g running arch right now. My advice is follow the first wiki page Ranguvar sudgested, and use the older graphics drivers sudgested there.
It's the fastest distro I have ever run on my eee pc, from GRUB to a full openbox session takes 23 seconds (openSuSE took 1 min 9 seconds AFTER I striped all the crap out.)
This is my first Arch install and it takes a bit of learning but once it is done it is truly awesome.
