Tried several times to re-create my raid system in mdadm. I am using the create command to generate a 3 disc raid array.
The attempts all end up with the following;
bash-3.2# mdadm -Cv /dev/md1 -l0 -n3 -c64 /dev/sd{b,c,d}
mdadm: error opening /dev/md1: No such device or address
bash-3.2#
What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: System 64 bit.

Prediction...This year will be a very odd year!
Hard work does not kill people but why risk it: Charlie Mccarthy

When ALL is lost, what can be found? Even bytes get lonely for a little bit! X-ray confirms Iam spineless!

Please put this in the right forum . Non-x86 remains non-x86.

Are you trying to reassemble an existing RAID setup or building a new one? If you're reassembling, did you try the reassemble option (-A), and do you have a config stored somewhere?

Solved after reboot. Array recognized without creating or re-creating. Why a reboot was necessary is a mystery....
