Hey
My mythbackend has being complaining that it could not start because mysqld wasn't started. The problem lies in the way the latest mysqld creates its pid file. The mythbackend script checks for /var/run/mysqld.pid, but the latest uses /var/lib/mysql/hostname.pid. I just removed the check for the pid file in the ini script for mythbackend until there is a better fix
Hope this helps someone.
Kind regards, enrique
