i have just compiled :

But the drivers nvidia does not work , it is strange :S

You need the patch that is on the nvidia forum or go over to gentoo's forum and get it there. Once patched it will work.

it failed with the latest alps.patch (something with mouse.h I think)
If someone can get it working with that patch.. please post or Im stuck with rc-2 which is stable as a rock btw...

according the the comments in OSNEWS there was no bug that broke CD audio burning in 2.6.8 so it's not 'fixed' in 2.6.9.
They say sth about SUID in the cdrecord, well I'm not sure afterall I run k3b as sudo
anyone knows better on this?
will it burn ok CD audio now? {as it used to in <2.6.8}

i was able to burn an audio cd (using cdrdao, my burner of choice) the other day using arch's latest 2.8.1 kernel. came out perfectly fine...
