Everything was working great, I installed a couple programs (actually, xfce4 only I think), reboot and come back later to emacs saying this:
(process:19802): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
No font backend available
I tried building emacs again, "./configure" finds all the libraries it needs to so I'm not sure what it's asking for...?
I didn't modify any emacs config files or anything...
Thanks guys....

Seems like it's GTK that's having a problem, rather than Emacs. Try running some other GTK app in a terminal and see if you get the same warning. Something to do with /etc/locale.gen?

Everything else seems to be fine, including other GTK apps... I'll investigate the locales warning more closely.
