Try:
pacman -Rd gtmod
pacman -S qt
#Qtmod not needed anymore
pacman -R guidance-power-manager /or pacman -Rcsn ....
pacman -Syu kdemod /or pacman -Syu kdemod-complete
also backup/ remove ~/.kde4 to start with clean config, especially if you have your own plasmoids.
#powerdevil is included in kde now, so other inferior powermanagers might conflict with it.

You are mixing KDE from [extra] with KDEmod, that cannot work...
want a modular and tweaked KDE for arch? try kdemod

Mikko, thanks, that worked! I also removed some plasmoid scripts pacman warned me about and now I enjoy this 4.2 thing!
funkyou, I do not understand. I installed KDEmod, not KDE.

Right there you are choosing to use part of KDE from [extra], while having other KDE libraries installed from [kdemod-core]. Just because pacman asks you if you want to replace one package with another doesn't mean that you should.

Do you mean I should have not replaced it? How would I undo it? Just pacman -R + pacman -S?
