After a kernel update, is the menu.lst for GRUB provided by some package, or is it generated?
I was wondering if there was a quick way to set the title of the Archlinux entry in the GRUB menu.lst to include the kernel version number other than by editing it by hand?
Thanks!

kernel upgrades don't change any of the file names that grub uses, so there's no need for grub to change the menu.lst. If you're keeping old kernels around on your own you'd need to deal with grub yourself.
