KDE 4.2, no menu entrie until relogin
When I install a new package, menu entries doesn't show up right away. I need to logout and relogin to see them.
Is this a bug?

It might be a bug, but you can rebuild the menu entries manually by running kbuildsycoca4 from the terminal.

i have the same problem. newly installed packages don't show up neither in start menu or alt+f2 run dialog (if you just type "skype" and press enter, then it starts skype, but doesn't offer it for you) until logout.
