EEE_PC 701 Sleep function has two conflicting scripts? {solved}

If anyone else has an issue for the asus eee-pc 701 regarding not waking from sleep and you have the asus acpi package from the wiki installed, let me know.  You have to comment out all of the scripting in the following files that reside in
/etc/acpi

suspend2ram.sh
lid.sh
powerbutton.sh

and leave them look like

#!/bin/sh
exit 0

Then these commands will not be intercepted by these seeminly malfuntioning scripts here and the commands will be activated by whatever options you put on PowerDevil.

Weird but it works.

The asus-eee-acpi package IS useful, because the other scripts seem to control the other fn keys fine and even show the osd for them,
