rc.d

Hi everyone!

I am a Ubuntu user looking for greater control over my system. Arch looks nice, but I have one question:

When I install apache, let's say, do I have to put it in rc.conf for it to be started up automatically when I boot? I understand that similar to /etc/init.d, daemons are kept in /etc/rc.d? Is there a document that specifies some of this? I am new, so please be gentle. smile

Yes. I recommend that you read the Beginner's Guide on the wiki.
