Jut started using Arch here...
I've got my desktop up and running and almost everything is fine.
I've noticed that Archlinux has a blue theme to it: grub is blue, colours in manpages is blue etc
But my videos in vlc running on top of Xcfe4 is blue too! Is this some kind of joke?
I noticed this post, but it doesn't help much!

great pun. but descriptive topic titles are a good idea
have you tried running vlc under a different window manager? or have you tried using other movie player programs? (just to see if there's a common issue)?

Or different video output modules .
English is not my native language .

Are you running xfce with the integrated composite manager? If you are, try disabling it.

Happened to me once, except output got greenish, not blueish. Temporally fixed it by switching from xv video output to gl. After xserver restart it fixed itself and started working normally with xv again.
My victim you are meant to be

Thanks for the replies.
I switched to mplayer and it's not an issue anymore.

so mark this as solved using mplayer or resolved so others won't waste time looking here for answers since you didn't end up solving the underlying issue.
