No Input from USB Sound Card
A while back I had purchased a StarTech USB Sound Card, and had trouble getting it to work. The output problem was resolved, but not the input problem. Can anyone tell me how to get the mic input on it working?

Hey, I've also purchased one of those cards recently, and have had no luck getting it to work - input or output. What did you do to get output working at least?

I installed OSS4 (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/OSS), and but that solution was less than ideal and gave me headaches. In retrospect, I could have found a better solution. I've built a newer computer since this last post, but I recently fell back on the USB Sound Card when hardware mixing stopped working after a kernel update. I now use it to handle the input/output with Skype.
