lost Hdd, mbr wiped

somehow after my arch install, the MBR on my primary storage drive got wiped

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1, or too many moun....(etc)

so is there a way that i can restore it? all it was was one giant ext3 partition.

Re: lost Hdd, mbr wiped

may it happen that you installed grub on /dev/sda1? maybe a fsck would help with your problem, otherwise clear mbr, fixboot and install grub in /dev/sda

Give testdisk a go, might not help much but if you didn't overwrite anything you may be able to get everything back.
