Hi everybody,
I just installed ArchLinux on my desktop. I copied the xorg.conf file from another distribution (suse11.1), where it works fine. When I run X -config xorg.conf or startx, I get a beautiful screen, but my mouse and my keyboard are shut down or something. No LEDs are on, CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE or ...-DEL doesn't do anything.
Since the harware on/off switch of my computer doesn't result in a shutdown, I assume, that the system is frozen at that time. (Does Archlinux provide ACPI by default?)
I tried to use a fresh xorg.conf using "Xorg -configure" but this results in the same failure.
So it could be anything... Please help me where to start (:
Installed: Base, Xorg and nvidia (6600GT), pacman -Syu

You need HAL these days for Xorg (or disable input hotplugging):
# pacman -S hal
# /etc/rc.d/hal start
Then start X again
