Re: How can I get onto the arch IRC chat with pidgin?[SOLVED]

I keep getting this when I try to chat using irssi

08:49 < Rule_of_Claw> anybody using acpi-eeepc-generic?
08:49 -!- #archlinux Please register with services and use the IDENTIFY command
(/msg nickserv help) to speak in this channel

My nick is in the user list and I can read what others are saying but no one can read me.

I followed dsr's advice and got the message back from /nickserv that I had successfully registered but still got the same response in #archlinux sad BTW, I have been able to join other channels on freenode w/o any problems.

1. Please don't necropost
2. You have to confirm the email, and then identify with nickserv (/query nickserv identify <password>)

If you want to automaticly identify when you join freenode, you can follow this: http://freenode.net/faq.shtml#identify

Evil #archlinux@libera.chat channel op and general support dude.
