Stanford University has posted videos of their courses on youtube. I thought they may be of interest to some of you guys. I've just started learning programming and watching these videos is helping me out.

Nice one. For anyone that hasn't seen them, the Google Tech Talks channel is also always good.

Has anybody built the "stanford eclipse" yet? I suppose it comes as a tar.gz so I'd better check the wiki (not having done this before...).
EDIT:
forget that - a simple tar xvf will untar it to .../eclipse and can be called up by $>eclipse &

Waw!! It sounds great. I went to check them and see if any other uni offered anything similar
and found these two from Berkeley Uni:
- Data structures: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p … C7D2A1049C
- Structure and Interpretation of Computer Science: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p … 466C44A5D5
Check them out.

Oh and also check this one out. Look for the "Computer Sc" section on the list.

They're from India so the accent could be difficult sometimes. And I haven't watch them
but the list of subjects is the most comprehensive one.
Hope it helps.

Ahh, and if you want to go for a full "computer science" program check
this one from the prestigious MIT:

All courses provide materials and assignments, no teacher to supervise of course, but still
worth checking.
Have a good day.

And one more. Maybe you already listen to "Hacker Public Radio", but if you do not check this podcast. It runs daily and has many
different topics, some of them might not be interesting at all for some people, but they include some interesting "In-Depth Series"
where they talk about programing, python, databases...
Here is the link: http://www.hackerpublicradio.org/index.php
Cheers.

Hello,
The linux version of stanfford eclipse has been taken out of the site. Could anybody provuide me the tar.gz file? (via rapidshare or whatever).
Thanks in advance,

While already fully versed in programming in a multitude of languages and paradigms, I will definitely watch these. The topics seems quite entertaining.
