I downloaded / installed both Python and wxPython using pacman (pacman -S python wxpython), but wxPython seems to lack the media module (doc, use).
One user from the wxPython mailing list suggested this:
When I have run into this in the past (i.e many distro's didn't include the GraphicsContext) I usually asked the person in charge of the wxwidgets package to change their build options and all so far have done so within a few days.
Is this the case? Who is "the person in charge"? Can I include it myself or download from another source?

File feature requests in the bug tracker. There's an option for it when creating the report. Things like this have a tendency to get lost in the forums. Good luck.

Done.
For now, I will try to find a way to build it from source with the media module enabled.

Do you know ABS yet? If not: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ABS
The folder for all of the wxpython stuff is on /var/abs/extra. Copy the wxpython folder to somewhere where you have write permissions (like your home directory). I'm not sure how to pass parameters to the build script for this one; I don't use this package. But, you need to pass --enable-mediactrl to the build script. Then just build with makepkg.
