DDD and Xaw3d

Seems DDD needs libXaw3d.so.8.
xaw3d package provides libXaw3d.so.7.
Where do I get libXaw3d.so.8?

Re: DDD and Xaw3d

I'm leaving (not left), but I need DDD right now! I must do some project fast and DDD is neccessary to debug it.
I'll be playing with compiling ALFS on Arch when I have some time.

Re: DDD and Xaw3d

Recompiling DDD with ABS worked. Seems there is something wrong with the version on the server ftp.archlinux.org.

Re: DDD and Xaw3d

Has the situation improved?
Where's the new libXaw3d.so.8?

Re: DDD and Xaw3d

Same issue here.
The problem is that xorg package contains both libXaw3d.so.8 and libXaw3d.so.7, whereas xfree 4.4 contains only old libXaw3d.so.7.

It's a bug in the XFree package.

dump xfree86 and start using xorg

Why? XFree86 works perfectly for me. I don't care about composite extension. Besides, the maintainer should either fix the package or dump it.

There is no excuse for providing xfree package which doesn't work with DDD.
