Hi guys,
Arch seems really cool. I just can't do anything with it.
You see, I installed it on an MSI Wind laptop. No CD ROM drive or DVD. I can't use any networking stuff because of the 2.6.25 kernel. So I need to do an install from a USB thumb drive but don't know where to get an img with 2.6.28 on it. Nor do I know how to make one. Has anyone encountered similar problems?

I had the same problem when i first started using arch on a regular laptop. Just download the kernel package to a flash drive and install it from there....
pacman -U /<path to usb drive>/kernel26.pkg.tar.gz
If you get dependency problems just do the same with those packages FIRST. If i remember correctly though, the (3?) dependencies the new kernel has will be satisfied by whatever came on the usb img.
