font mess

I have both an nvidia card and an on board intel on my laptop (sony vaio sz6). Since the installation of the nvidia drivers and using the nvidia card, my fonts look bigger and thinner than when I used the intel card. Returning back to the intel card doesn't help. I tryed all the lcd font packages but that doesn't help either so I reverted to the normal font packages. Changing the font settings in gnome doesn't help either.

Re: font mess

"DPI" - dots per inch. Here's a list of threads to look through.

Re: font mess

It's really easy to set up the DPI for nVidia cards. Under the "Device" section in xorg.conf, just add something like:

Option "DPI" "96 x 96"
