vsftpd

There's an article in the wiki and it's easy to find info through google about how to do secure setups etc.

Re: opinion on ftp server (solved)

I use proftpd on my server. It's debian, but I set it up once a couple years ago and never had to mess with it again. very easy to configure, too. A lot of people recommend vsftpd, which seems very excellent also.

I second vsftp. I don't believe there's such a thing as a secure ftp server, but vsftp is as good as you're going to get. Also very easy to configure, in my opinion.

Re: opinion on ftp server (solved)

I am personally having problems getting vsftp to work.
I am guessing the account would be my computer's accounts.

Connection is always refused

I went to proftpd instead and it is working wonderfully. Thanks everyone.
