Bluez and Pilot-Link Upgrade Problems

I have a basic 64 Arch system.
Installed KDE4.2 from testing (just before it moved to current).
Standard system upgrades were fine for a short time. KDE4.2 had moved to current.

But recently have had problems with standard upgrades for weeks ..

bash-3.2# pacman -Suy

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: pilot-link: requires bluez>=4.25
bash-3.2#

I am never going to need bluetooth but it seems to be caught up with kdepim and hence all sorts of things. Wish I could just get rid of bluetooth altogether.

Re: Bluez and Pilot-Link Upgrade Problems

You're having this problem because you have the pilot-link from testing and you stopped using the testing repo.

Try running: pacman -S pilot-link
before doing your update.

Re: Bluez and Pilot-Link Upgrade Problems

Hmmm ... thanks .. i was trying to downgrade the package and didn't realise it was that easy!  smile

Ok .. so now I am at the same place as the other guys with the bluez problem.

I really wish I could just get rid of all this bluetooth crap which I don't even need.

bash-3.2# pacman -S pilot-link
