Keyboard issue

Hello,

when i try to type < and > and some more chars(dont know exactly) i get a little square.
I set my keyboard to 'croat.map.gz' . Didnt install X yet.

And i cant do this command(example)
echo 'xxx' >> /abc.txt

or somtin like that.
Can some1 help?

Try to change your CONSOLEFONT at /etc/rc.conf

Is your locale set correctly as well?  If not you'll need to set it correctly and use the gen-locale command as root.
