Hi,
I have this wallpaper downloaded on my computer, but I do not remember where I got it from. Since I am moving to a widescreen monitor, does anyone know where I can find widescreen version of this.
Btw, you can download the one I have from here:

Thanks,

What resolution you need? 1280x800? What's the problem to crop it using GIMP?

Cropping with Gimp was a good idea. Now why didn't I think of that I was always thinking of somehow padding the sides to make it widescreen
I am not very good with images, so while cropping with gimp worked, the circle in the middle is now larger than I would have liked.

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought the Liquid Rescale plugin might work well for this, but the fine texture on the background doesn't stretch well.
You could try cutting out the circle and text, then reconstructing the image with a new background.

That's why cropping sucks, you lose part of the image. It's better to extend it, and this looks like it should be simple but I'm no GIMP expert...
The day Microsoft makes a product that doesn't suck, is the day they make a vacuum cleaner.

But if they tell you that I've lost my mind, maybe it's not gone just a little hard to find...

How about this? It took a total of 5 minutes in the gimp.

I can do other sizes but need to know your resolution. Mine just happens to be 1440x900 for the moment.

That looks great. Thank you very much, my monitor is 1680x1050 but that resolution should work very well. I knew asking here would be a great idea
How did you manage to extend this image using Gimp?

I started a new image @ 1440x900 and then copied the original over which left me with a margin on either side. Then I just copied a strip on either side 6 pixels wide and then ctrl+v adjusting the paste using the arrow keys until I had filled in the gap. This works OK with a nice tiled background but not so well in other situations.
