Shell sink

I ran across this utility this morning and thought some of you might be interested. It logs your shell history to the web. You can set it up with the same ID on multiple machines and share your history. It also supports tagging, so I can easily grab related commands.

It's written in Python and made for BASH, but with a couple of adjustments I'm using it with zsh just fine.

Re: Shell sink

Interesting app, but I don't know how comfortable I am with publishing the information to the web.

Probably a better idea would to just be to increase the history limit in whatever shell you use.

Re: Shell sink

The advantage is being able to read the same shell history on every computer you work on. It's a convenience that I wouldn't use on certain machines due to security concerns, but in general I don't have a problem with it.
