I want to record the sound my sound card is producing whilst I'm recoding using Xvidcap.
I've tried lots of devices, which one am I supposed to use?

There is so many to choose from!
Sound devices:
Audigy 4
USB Webcam (Logitech Quickcam)
I want to record the audio that is being played on the Audigy 4 (not a microphone)
Is there any other information I should provide?

Got it, I had to change my alsa settings with my sound manager in gnome. Weird thing happened though, I would make the change, close it, re-open it and see that my old values were still there.
It explains how I never got it to work, I had to unlink them, then move them manually.
I had to raise the "PCM" under "Recording" which makes perfect sense, I just thought it was wrong because of how the values went back as soon as I closed it.
That was a strange one...
Thanks!
