Re: [XFCE4] ram usage problem

It seems that firefox is really hogging the ram lately. Unless it's something else I can't acount for. Right now I have firefox and xmms open in xfce4, and my system is using 740MB of ram. WTF?? I don't know if it's some extension I installed, or some conky script or what, but that seems like a lot to me.

Re: [XFCE4] ram usage problem

Simply try it out, deactivate all extensions in ff and see the change. 740MB is horror, that cannot be normal!

im using htop

im install xubuntu to comare them.xubuntu show me ~220mb ram WTF???

and I compare htop logs of them
in xubuntu:
panel plugins(like language layouts, cpu load...) using about 10mb each.
X using about ~80-100mb
in arch:
p.p. using about 20mb each
X using about 40-60mb of ram.

when i will be at home i'll paste screens of htop on xubuntu and arch
