Does anyone with DELL XPS M!530 been able to suspend with any of the pm-suspend quirks?
If yes please do share, as I am not able to resume after suspend.
Thanks

Yeah, after the latest nvidia driver update I am unable to suspend as well

Same here, after latest nvidia driver returning from s2ram the display stays blank and I have to forcefully reboot (pwr button). This is a real bummer as I used suspend all the time running between classes. Waiting for hibernate sucks if I just need to put my laptop in my bag for 10-15min

is there a suspend.conf file in /etc? If yes, try make splash=n in it.

there is no files like that in my /etc

It did work without anything special using uswsusp. Hibernate still works, but suspend-to-ram broke with the new kernel/nvidia.

That's strange, cause I also have M1530 and hibernation and suspend works just fine.

I don't think that BIOS is important here, but if you need that info, that's ok:
1. Bios => A08
2. Nvidia drivers 180.22.1, nvidia-utils 180.22.1
3. I'm using gnome
4. Wlan card is Broadcom BCM4312
What wlan card are you using ?

I'm having problems with suspend too. It even froze in such a way that I couldt get the machine to poweroff.
XPS M1530
A05 BIOS
Nvidia: 180.22-1
Kernel: 2.6.28.1-1
Wlan: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)
Also I'm getting a new quirk with the wireless (which I had fixed from this issue a couple of days ago), where i have to restart /etc/rc.d/net-auto once in a while, because the interface stops responding.
I will make some more testing to see if I get some suspend function working properly.
ps. Lately I have had so many problems that I'm seriously considering reinstalling as soon as there is a new ISO out.

Before going suspend try to unload the Intel PRO/Wireless 4965 driver module. If suspend works after
rmmod name-of-module
then it will be easy to find a workaround.
