Kernel Hibernate image size

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question.

recently moved back to Arch (strayed to ubuntu for a while) it has made me realise again how fast arch is compared to some of the other Distros tongue

Anyhows my question was on the wiki for pm-suspend there is a section on the suspend image size set to 512mb by default by the kernel.

Has any one tried increasing this and did it have any effect or is there a way to find out how much space you are using when you hibernate?

Thanks
Matthew

Re: Kernel Hibernate image size

It's generally a good idea to have the size of the image as big as your ram.  This is because unless your rams data is compressed upon suspend and written to your hard drive, it is possible for the ammount of data written to be as big as your ram size.
