Hi people,
fst-git http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23539 is a free vst host that can host windows32 vst-audio-plugins/instruments. Its currently the bleeding-edge-app for that purpose in Linux.
SInce its nature is already 32bit there seems to be no way to make it depend on 64bit packages (if you know any ways let us know - even if it is a hack. This app is already a "hack" and hybrid wine/gtk thing).
So you need a multilib enviroment.
lib32-gtk and lib32-alsa-lib are already there, but a lib32-lash has to be made, although there is this package http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19768
Whats still missing then is a >0.116.1 (better 0.116.2) version of lib32-jack-audio-connection-kit: http://jackaudio.org/download
Here is already a Jack2 (0.119....) version avaible but it is not the right one for fst because in this case the normal 64bit JACK needs to talk to the 32bit JACK for fst, which is only possible in Jack1 (0.116.2)
Is anyone interested in providing the missing packages or looking otherwise if there is some possibility get around with fst in 64bit?
Greetings,
Nils

I tested it out and this is not a candidate for a chroot enviroment because it has to interact with the 64bit enviroment.
The readme of fst says its possible to run it without LASH, so thats out of the way. Was stays is jack 0.116.2.
I compiled it in a chroot enviroment and copied the whole thing to my normal 64 root but it does not run because of a wine error.
If any of you is interested in getting VST plugins to run in Archlinux 64 maybe you can help with this.
