this is probably a dumb question.......but if i boot my system, it goes to a text login, and doest start X at all, i know how to reboot from the cli, and how to shut down......but how do you log out?

Ok, I'll give this away if you remeber a couple of things, a) title should represent your querry b) You could probably have found a way to get this information quicker by simply doing some trial/error or a google search. C) Be sure to edit the title with a '[solved]' infront of it after you've read this.

to logout: logout/exit
to shutdown: shutdown -h now
to reboot: shutdown -r now
to start X11: startx
