Thinkfinger problem

I've got a Lenovo T61 laptop so i installed and configured thinkfinger (I followed the instructions on wiki). But when i enter gdm it doesn't even offer to swipe the finger and when i type in user name and press return it says authentication failed. i changed /etc/pam.d/other and /etc/pam.d/gdm. I also adde my user with the tf-tool, and even tested everything with tf-tool --verify...

Re: Thinkfinger problem

Hi,

I also try with thinkfinger cyclically, but with no avail. GDM logon works for me (and doesn't break anymore shutdown/restart like it did with the older version), but the last update segfaults on su and sudo commands on my system (IBM ThinkPad X41 Tablet), rendering also the terminal idle for some minutes.

I'm quite sad to say this, but that project is all but in stable status. I can't contribute more (I'm not a programmer, just a user, although advanced you may say).

Sorry for the bad news.

Re: Thinkfinger problem

That is a shame. Is there another approach to make finger scanner work? I read something about fprint, but can't find any information about it...
