Would like this be fixed soon. I'm not hurrying anywhere, so no temporary fixes needed. This should sum it up:

if you want to use openjdk with frostwire you'd probably be best using the ABS and changing the dependency from jre to openjdk6. It should work although i havnt tried it personally.

frostwire should (probably) depend on java-runtime. File a bug report if one does not already exist.

Ok, I registered to bug reporting system. It has 3 categories for package related bugs: Extra, Core and Testing. However, frostwire is in Community... I am lost ![]()

There's a Community Packages project on the bug tracker where you can report problems with packages in [community].
In regard to your original question, here's the comment I posted on the aur page of frostwire:
I recently adopted this package so my experience with it is quite limited. However, judging by the message posted by angvp earlier, it is possible that frostwire may not work correctly with openjdk.
I will test it as soon as I can, but if you rebuild it using ABS changing its 'jre' dependency to 'java-runtime' and report back if it works with openjdk, that would be helpful.

Well, I have Frostwire installed, and been using Frostwire on OpenJDK6 without any trouble. I am not trying to install anything, just update, and the changed dependency blocks pacman from updating packages.

Thanks for your input. I'll test with the current frostwire version to make sure everything works correctly and update the package in the following few days.
