keymap not working

Hi
I try to switch keymaps with KDE4.2 and kxkb or setxkbmap and it doesn't work. I have de-layout as standard working but the second layout gives me all the keys which I access normally with "Alt-Gr" plus some others.
For example de:   asdf
The same with se: æßðđ
It should be the same.
There is no keymap entry in xorg.conf and I am using evdev managed keyboard.
The line for setxkbmap is:

setxkbmap -model evdev -layout de,se -variant nodeadkeys,nodeadkeys

I tried with -verbose 10 but there are no errors.
Any ideas, cause it is really annoying.

Try to downgrade to libxi 1.1.4. I had _lots_ of problems with my keyboard layout, but I think the downgrade solved most of them!
