quake2 problem

I have a small problem with quake2 from the AUR. It installed properly but will only run when I open up a bash shell and run 'quake2'. If I try to run it from gmrun or by clicking on my openbox menu, I only get a black screen. The actual quake2 executable is running (as verified by ps) but only a black screen shows up. The graphics function perfectly well when I run it from a terminal shell.

That's the really, really old version. There's newer versions of the Quake2 engine which have more features and aren't so buggy. See qudos-svn, kmquake2 and quake2-egl in my FTP site.

Installed qudos and it works fine. Strange thing to happen though.

Because some unknown kiddie went on an AUR deleting spree, after I orphaned them due to distro-hopping yet again. Put them on AUR, if you fancy.
