Is there such a thing?

Thanks in advance!

Have you followed the advise in your other threads and even attempted to do a search before asking?

Well... In that list, none of the apps mention AUR.. which is the main thing yaourt does that pacman does not.. So, it seems that the search turns up nothing.

you also need to use yaourt-git if you want comments support(which you should, since fixes are usually meantioned in the comments). However, if this is the first time using arch i would just recommend getting to know the AUR manually(it's not hard, just download the tar.gz and read the AUR directions linked on the frontpage), since you will have to do that anyway when yaourt messes up(yes. it has some bugs).

For pacman gui support, i don't know if there's anything that is better & faster than binding a terminal to a key on your keyboard & running

p -Ss whatever

in the term.

hell you could even bind the key(s) to run p -Syu for you.

oh yeah, you have to setup sudo if you don't want to input passwd, can't remember if the wiki entry on that is any good though.

edit: yeah, maybe i should mention that you need an alias p='sudo pacman' or alias p='yaourt' if you want that to work.

the closest thing to an AUR front end would be to sync the AUR with aur-sync. You'd have all the pkgbuilds downloaded on your sytem in /var/abs/unsupported and you can use nautilus to browse them.

Yah, lets run aur-sync just so we can browse aur with nautilus o_O
