Unable to mount ntfs partitions

At first I could mount them just by double-clicking but now I can't anymore. I tried with HAL by adding policy - no go. I tried mounting through the terminal - no go. When I tried through the "fstab" file the partitions were no longer visible. Where could the problem be?

Re: Unable to mount ntfs partitions

Can you post the output of "fdisk -l" when ran as root?
Manually mounting should work although you might need to add umask=000 to the mount options (or other option, I usually use that one) so you are able to see and modify files as a normal user.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: Unable to mount ntfs partitions

I was kinda lost for a second with that post but it's all good now. Thanks wonder. It works now. You should probably delete this thread. It's kind of useless. Thnks again.
