D-compiler?

Hi there, i'm looking for a way to install an d-compiler on my arch64. Afaik the dmd and the gdc are the only available compilers for this language, so i searched the repositories for one of them, also in the AUR. Well, in the AUR i found both off them, but the dmd there is marked as out of date and when i try to install the gdc, it starts to compile my gcc again, but this time the version 4.1. This isn't realy what i want and also the dmd from the digitalmars-website doesn't seem to run on my system (only 32-bit i think).

Is there any way to use the gdc and keep gcc-4.3?

Re: D-compiler?

I think gdc only builds with gcc-4.1 but only the D component is installed.

Re: D-compiler?

Oh thanks, good to now. Now it works. Mhm, okay, there was an error when i tried to compile the gdc (something like »wrong mtune«), but then i noticed, that there is a binary-package, gdc-bin, and it works fine. smile
