Issues with KDE when "Starting X as preferred user without logging in"

Hi all,

I tried to use the method posted in the wiki to directly boot up to KDE4 (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sta … logging_in). I'd like to keep that but there are some issues with KDE4 then. For example I configured my powerbutton to shut the Notebook down when I press it using that method: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Shu … wer_button, which works fine when I login trough KDM but not when I use the method above. Also I can't use 'suspen to ram/hibernate' which works fine when normally logging in with KDM. I think it must have something to do with the parameters of

x:5:once:/bin/su PREFERED_USER -l -c "/bin/bash --login -c startx >/dev/null 2>&1"

I put in my inittab but have no idea what's the problem. Hope anyone can help

cheers, potzi
